Man Up (A Song)

Beyond the capacity of my own mind, I’m trying to decipher all the codes and road signs of the divine. I’m looking back, I’m seeing black, I’m seeing white and it’s no secret I…I’m spinning round, I’m sliding down, the sides of this box that I am stuck inside.

Despite the prose I compose to sound just right, at home alone I find comfort in the victimized. Why did he do that? How could he not factor in all the things I put on the line? Again it’s poor I, I’m under attack, of malicious hearts that give nothing back.

Only conclusion I come to is maybe it just wasn’t right. But this childish solution I’m choosing is eating me up in my pride, so I better man up, I better man up, I better man up.

Beyond the awareness that I’ve been choosing lately, I think it’s time for me to say sorry maybe. We tried to be kind, patient and wise. We knew that just time would take the voltage away. So I lay down my arms, I man up and start, to love you in a different way.

To love you in a different way.
